Blogging after wine - good idea or not?
In the old days when I was able to eat large volumes of food I was also able to drink significant quantities of alcohol. Now, not so much. I've just had a glass of Marlborough sauvignon blanc at the neighbours' on this beautiful summer's evening - just one glass - and I feel quite impaired. Impaired like no way would I drive. On one glass of wine. In the old days that was just a start - now it is the end of tonight's drinking. Is this good or bad? You be the judge...Anyone else find their alcohol tolerance impacted by the band? And is it just because we eat less or also because we weigh less??

I also had an unfortunate experience with a jumbo margarita lately. I used to be able to have 3 of those! Guess I will order the little one from now on. God bless the cheap drunk!
ReplyDeleteI actually have the opposite. I can down a full bottle of wine and still walk (of course I would never think of driving). The reason why guys can handle more alcohol is because of their higher body weight. So it makes sense when we get smaller that we need less alcohol to get us tipsy. At least you're a cheap date now!
ReplyDeleteMy tolerance is definitely less -- but I am sure that has more to do with me weighing 81 pounds less than having the band alone! I do find that a little wine helps me be less tight though. .
ReplyDeleteoh dear! That means one martini and I am going to have to lay down!! I always thing blogging after wine is best! Although my spelling mistakes double!
ReplyDeleteI have found that I am no longer able to indulge as much as what I used to be able to :)
ReplyDeleteOh what I wouldn't give to have it be a "beautiful summers evening" - as I look at the blizzard we're getting right now!
ReplyDeleteI'm not banded yet, but find that I'm a much more "creative" blogger after a martini!!
Great blog!!
